Welcome to Richmond, VA and the website of the French speaking association Accueil Français de Richmond, or AFR (which translates literally as the Richmond French-speaking welcome group).

AFR is a non-profit association established in 1999 in Richmond, VA (U.S.A.). Richmond is the capital of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

The association allows French-speaking people of all ages and nationalities living in the region to get to know each other, to have fun and to learn in a friendly, French-speaking and culturally-rich atmosphere.

Furthermore, AFR helps French-speaking newcomers to settle, live in, and enjoy the region. It also enables French language students to practice their French with native French speakers.

Its members come from over 15 countries and organize a wide variety of activities.
